Dorset Legal Awards
Dorset Legal Awards launched on 10 May 2017
QuoStar and ASH Elite join forces to celebrate local legal talent
QuoStar, the Bournemouth-based IT consultancy, has teamed up with Dorset-based legal recruitment firm ASH Elite to launch the first legal awards in the region. The Dorset Legal Awards will recognise high-performing legal professionals and firms from across the South West and honour their work and commitment to the industry.
The awards were officially launched on 10th May at The Italian Villa in Poole, sponsored by South Coast Events. With over 200 SRA regulated practices and more than 1,000 solicitors, legal executives and conveyancers in the Dorset area, the awards will recognise the success of legal professionals within the region. Individuals and firms can now enter via the Dorset Legal Awards website.
Different categories have been created for small, medium and large sized legal firms and include several individual awards for legal professionals, such as ‘Rising Star of the Year’ and ‘Practice Director/Manager of the Year’. Sponsorships are still available for some categories and the full shortlist will be revealed later this year.
The awards will be judged by an independent panel of legal and business heavyweights including Dr John Knowles, former Chairman of DEK; John Ainsworth, retired District Judge; barrister Elizabeth McGrath QC and Darren Slade, Business and Technology Editor of the Bournemouth Daily Echo. A black-tie awards ceremony to announce the winners will be held in February 2018.
QuoStar’s CEO, Robert Rutherford, comments:
“The South West has a wealth of talented legal professionals and we’re excited to be partnering with ASH Elite for these awards. We believe it will be a fantastic event to celebrate the success of the local legal sector.”
ASH Elite’s Director and Founder, Sofie Scott, comments:
“As a local business, we wanted to show support for other firms in the area and showcase the impressive legal talent across the region. It’s an exciting concept and we look forward to receiving lots of nominations later this year.”
