Local Women in the Professions to be recognised by ASH Elite

Legal recruitment specialists, ASH Elite, sponsor Professional of the Year category at the Dorset Venus Awards 2016

Entering their seventh year, the Dorset Venus Awards celebrate the best and brightest businesswomen in the region. Held in association with Mercedes-Benz, Poole, the awards have recently announced, ASH Elite, as one of their dedicated sponsors.

Acting for legal candidates at all levels from entry to senior partners, ASH Elite is the only consultancy of its kind in Dorset and specialises in matching legal professionals with employers to ensure a “perfect fit” placement. Sofie Scott, Founder and Managing Director, started ASH Elite to break with the conventional model of recruitment with its emphasis on targets, to provide a bespoke, tailored service that fits the right employee to the right employer.

This meticulous way of matching employers with candidates resulted in 92.5% of all candidates sent for interview by ASH Elite in 2015 being offered a position.

Inspired to applaud other successful businesswomen, Sofie Scott will sponsor the Professional of the Year category at this year’s Dorset Venus Awards.

Sofie Scott said:

“Having started my own business when my son was just seven months old, I know the sacrifices that are needed to succeed in business. I am contacted daily by professional women who consistently impress me with their fantastic achievements. When I was contacted by the awards I jumped at the chance to highlight some of the inspirational local women I have had the personal pleasure to interact with.”

Dubbed by Channel 4 as “The Working Women’s Oscars” the Venus Awards are unique in that anyone can nominate a friend, client or family member. They will be launching on Tuesday 19th April 2016 before commencing a seven-month cycle of events to uncover the biggest female business stars in the UK. The Dorset Venus Awards will culminate in a Ceremony and Gala Dinner at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday 20th October 2016.

The Venus Awards celebrate the vital contribution that businesswomen make to the local, regional, and national economy. In Dorset this year nominees and applicants will be competing in up to 15 categories that include New Business, Small Business, Inspirational Woman, Online Media and Digital Business, Manager, Business Mother, Company, Inspirational Woman in Technology, Musical Talent, Customer Service, Employer, Entrepreneur, Marketing and PR, Professional, and Director.

Associate Sponsor for the awards Mercedes-Benz, Poole, will also sponsor the Influential Woman of the Year category. They are joined by Talbot Heath School as the sponsor for the public vote category of Business Mother, and charity sponsor BOO, whose aim is to help African children disadvantaged through economic poverty.
